Map/Log & Rustic/Log Hutch/Top Shelf
#1 The top board serves primarily as a support for the top cabinet, which was built with a 3-sided lip on the base to overhang the shelf support. There is a channel routed into the shelf where wires are run to power the recessed lighting.
#2 Illustrates where I drilled a hole through the log to pass the wires, thus concealing all wires.
#3 The wires pass through here to the inside of the base cabinet and out to the wall through the back of the cabinet.
